WHAT IS TAE KWON DO?
Created in South Korea on 11th April 1955, Tae Kwon Do literally translates to “the way of foot and hand”.

Our classes are filled with lots of different ways to learn new skills in Tae Kwon Do, including line work, patterns, set sparring, free sparring, self defence, locks and take downs, board breaking, fitness, padwork, theory and Korean history.
INSTRUCTORS
Honiton Tae Kwon Do is run by sister team Tracy Kirby-Dickins 5th Degree Black Belt and Helen Kirby 4th Degree Black Belt, who are dedicated to providing professional and rewarding Tae Kwon Do classes to all ages and abilities.
Tracy started training as a student at Honiton TKD in 1996. Helen started training in 1989 under Master John Black 6th Degree Black Belt.
Both Tracy and Helen have trained under the clubs previous Instructors Master Daren Sainsbury 6th Degree Black Belt and Miss Chloe Lock 5th Degree Black Belt before taking over the running of the club in 2016.
Both are qualified Instructors with the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain, which is part of the British Tae Kwon Do Council. They are fully insured, are first aid qualified, DBS checked and safeguarding trained.
